Description: A robust architectural species that we have introduced into cultivation by several collections. This collection represents our 2006 gathering from 2000m at the Tram Trom Pass, northern Vietnam, at a time the heavens had opened up. A tufted species forming dense colonies to almost waist high within the forests of the area, with strap-shaped thick-textured leaves to 50cm long with tall dark scapes to 1m straining with the weight of dark blue ovoid fruit, which succeeded the clusters of conspicuous large (for Ophiopogon) white flowers. Easily grown in light to full shade in a little shelter and preferably a leafy drained soil.
