Description:
An evergreen woody twining climber from the milkweed (latex-like milky sap) family, with chunky opposite glossy somewhat rounded to heart shaped leaves of a leathery texture to 15 × 12 cm. One of the first collections on my return to Taiwan in 2007, this time with Finlay Colley and Dan Hinkley. The distinct axillary large seed capsules (resulting from the cymes of white scented flowers) were dangling over the sodden mountain road where the stems had grown into the canopy of a Lagerstroemia. Best grown in sun in a well drained soil. Hardiness unknown. Syn. Cionura
