Description: Originating from one of our seeds collection made in the Lachen Valley of northern Sikkim in 2013 at 3000m. Where this collection was gathered from a wide spreading individual with darker red flowers held in large terminal inflorescences. A stunning species when seen in its glory, which can reach small tree-like proportions in a relatively short time. Possessing corky branches of semi-evergreen lance-shaped grey-green foliage, bearing glorious terminal pendant panicles of individually large red foxglove-like flowers for weeks on end late spring-early summer. Easily grown in full sun and well drained soil, protect from cold while young.
