A descriptive name translating to white flowered, a sweetly scented lily emerging from a sizeable bulb, to tall upright stems up to 2m tall in good soil carrying dark green long narrow scattered leaves. Terminating in a raceme of up to 17 large trumpet flowers streaked rose-purple on the exterior in July and August. From one of my seed collections gathered near Baoxing, China where it had seeded into vertical sunny cliffs at only1150m, in the autumn of 2000. Easily grown in a warm well drained spot or in containers, protect from frost with a mulch in winter.
