Description:
Originating from a collection I gathered at the side of the road to Lijiang, Yunnan western China in the autumn of 2000 at 3300m. Where this shrub with small palmate 3-lobed leaves on red stems grew at the edge of woodland. With an upright almost stiff habit to 3m tall, bearing small cymes of pale pink flowers bright pink-red on their exteriors, followed by red fruit. The foliage turning a fiery red in autumn. Easily grown in a bit of shelter in a moisture retentive, but freely drained soil.
