Tricyrtis ravenii - RWJ10012

Pot Size: 4 litre (deep)
Price: £9.50
Description:
From one of our collections gathered from the trail-side on Yushan the highest mountain in Taiwan at 2700m in the winter of 2003. From a frozen dry sunny very steep bank on the unstable slopes where this collection was plentiful, yet very ripe. A fairly short species with softly hairy leaves, bearing large white distinctly spotted flowers September to November. A new species into cultivation that has only very recently been described to science by taxonomists in Taiwan. Best grown in a well drained soil that has some humus added for moisture retention, with some overhead protection from frost.
