Pot Size: 20 litre
Description: Regarded by many, including fellow collector Peter Wharton as being the best new species to be introduced in recent times. This represents one of our collections from a real honey-pot location in the far north of northern Vietnam close to the border with China in the autumn of 2007. Seed collected from a lanky tree 7-8m tall with obovate dark green leaves to 30cm long, smooth on the upper surface, silky mostly bronzy below. The seed were in terminal spikes of small capsules, these had succeeded the yellow scented flowers borne in spring. Best grown in sun to light shade in a freely draining soil with good moisture retention out of freezing winds
