Description:
Only forming a small well-branched evergreen shrub where we found this species on the island of Wandõ South Korea in the autumn of 2010. Commonly seen in the coastal areas there where they thrive in the salt laden winds in those exposed conditions. With small ovate fresh glossy green leaves of a stiff texture on this collection. Also bearing terminal cymes of very fragrant star shaped, white ageing to creamy yellow flowers, opening in late spring, there forming globose marble-sized green seed capsules by autumn. Best grown in a well to very well drained soil in full sun with exposure to warm winds, while sheltering from freezing northerly or easterly winds.
